lan, as I learnt from very nice lady independence day of Latvia is 18th of November, and it's the day of the announcment of the declaration of independance of Latvia. She also told me that no one celebrates this day, but I had been in a concert of a famous latvian singer, in old riga :D

Ian, as if you didn't know that kings aren't elected, they appoint themselves! Well, and some of the self-appointed rulers of universe also end up in the funny house :D

The "King of Riga" is in amigos so you can talk to him, ask him who elected him cause i'm pretty sure no one I know did :D

Btw, I've once been "honoured" with a talk to this "King of Riga" and it appears that all his kingship is concentrated in one organ. Ant it isn't brain or heart :D

yes i'm foreign, and foreign here to cause this is a Latvian site, however i'm not a tourist really, just someone who has spent alot of time with Latvians (male and female)
