Ligden Hutugtu Hagan

November 13 2014 01:19

Ligden Hutugtu Hagan (1588~1634) was the last in the Borjigin clan of Mongol Hagans who ruled the Mongols from Chahar. His unpopular reign generated violent opposition due to his harsh restrictions over the Mongols. His alliance with Ming China, sponsorship of Buddhismin Chahar and reorganization of Mongolian political divisions were ineffective when the Daiching Empire became the major power in East Asia.
