Islamic husband? Are you sure they live in the modern times? I've always doubted that.
Then it's not about his jealously but religious constraints on the woman. Total hypocracy (spelled right?) because very often they themselves chat freely with other women and then even try to pretend they're single (heard about a few such cases, where the girls knew their friends had married such a muslim guy, he didn't know she knew that and therefore tried to chat her up)..

Fully agreed. I think I could add that jealously is a sign that the guy doesn't feel that secure about himself and therefore not secure about the feelings of his other half.
But some people see jealously as a sign of a BIG love and then they either can't leave the jelaous one (but he loves me so much) or try to emotionally blackmail the other (I love you so much, therefore I'm jealous; and if you leave you'll break my heart).
Something along those lines. Happily, not a personal experience (knock on the wood)
