Yes Lizzy DeeVee because of depression they lose hope and commit suicide. One of the reason is if somebody have no contact with family, relatives, and friends so it also leads them to depression and commit suicide.

Many people get depressed and see no hope to continue living, personal tragedies, etc etc; the reasons are many. I don't think that the shortage of money is the main reason, because then most of the world's population would commit suicide. It is how they perceive the world and life and their chances there. People can be poor and stressed about it, but still enjoy their lives in general. Also drug addicts rarely commit suicides intentionally but rather as an accident of overestimation or hallucinations.
Oh yes, and please, don't use google-translate to Latvian, it only makes it worse and less understandable, trust me. Latvian has too complicated a grammar to come out well of it.

Latvian language is very beautiful, so it will be interesting, but hard to learn. Latvian language is one of the most hardest language in the world. Very rich with old words and meanings. With beautiful and many folk. Good luck! ;)

Exactly, Rob, that was my point too. Any language you know extra is an advantage.

It is always good to speak more than one language.

In Europa, if you speak English, you can talk to many people in many different countries.  So it may not be a "need" but it can be a real advantage, in my opinion.
